Why is another country’s DNS displayed?

If you use our recommended Google Public DNS 8.8.8.8 or Cloudflare DNS 1.1.1.1, your DNS IP address may show servers located abroad: Netherlands, Germany, Finland, etc.

This is normal and does not mean you're using a VPN service.

Public DNS servers are commonly used for regular internet connections. They provide faster DNS responses than your ISP's default servers, noticeably improving your internet browsing speed. [web:2][web:3]
